In India, much of his research has been translational with emphasis on clinical applications. He has patents on recombinant insulin and protein separation innovations. His scientific and technological expertise and contributions extend across academia, industry, medicine, both teaching and services, and public health. Dr. Krishnaswamy’s present affiliations include medical universities, several state-of-the-art, multi-specialty hospitals and the biotechnology industry in India. He is an Honorary Fellow of the Indian College of Cardiology in recognition of his contributions to lipid metabolism and coronary heart disease in the ‘70s, and has received special honors and awards in clinical and basic biological sciences.

Dr. Ashok Gupta is currently Professor of Pediatrics & In charge of the Rare Diseases Clinic & Superintendent Sir Padam Pat Mother & Child Institute – SMS Medical College, Jaipur.
He is also the Executive Director of the International Neonatology Association, Geneva and has headed many global organizations including the International Society of Tropical Paediatrics. He has also been on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Tropical Pediatrics from Oxford, the Indian Pediatrics Journal and the Indian Journal of Practical Pediatrics.
He has been recipient of many International fellowships including the fellowship from the American Academy of Pediatrics vide India Gyani Fund – 2008, Rotary Foundation Fellowship, Neonatology Fellowship from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
He has authored / edited many text books including Text Book on Paediatrics Neurology and Sports & Fitness Medicine. He has been contributing author to many global publications including the Atlas of Tropical Paediatrics of the American Academy of Paediatrics. He has chaired & addressed most global meetings in pediatrics including the IPA, AAP, ISTP, ASPHGAN & the National Pedicons.
He has to his credit a patent from IPR India for the Semi Open System of Neonatal Care.
