Dr.Jagdish Chinnappa
Dr. Jagdish is working as a Consultant pediatrician with special interest in pulmonary medicine, ENT, neonatology, psychology and IT in pediatrics and has a 30 years of experience in tertiary care hospitals and ambulatory care.
He was a President of IAP-BPS (Indian academy of Pediatrics, Bangalore chapter) 2007 and Examiner for M.D. Pediatrics from 2007 onwards.
He was a member of hospital ethics committee at Manipal hospital 2012-2013 and
member of immunization subcommittee of IAP 2007. He is a former secretary of IAP respiratory chapter and former member of committee on immunisation, IAP. He is also a former representative member of the IT group of IAP.
He is certified in Pediatric bioethics from the Mercy Children’s Hospital Kansas in 2015. He was a chief election Commissioner 2014-15 IAP Bangalore and organizing Chairperson of Respicon 2017.
Dr.Jagdish has worked as consultant at Manipal Hospital, Bangalore (1997-2017). He also worked as a Head dept. of pediatrics /consultant (1997 – 2000) in charge of the department for three years handling neonates, general pediatrics and pediatric intensive care in a tertiary referral center. He was Head of Department till October 2017.
He was visiting consultant at Mallya hospital, Bangalore from 1996 to 2007 in pediatrics and neonatology.
Dr.Jagdish worked as the head of department /consultant (1988 – 1995) pediatrician and neonatologist at St Philomena’s hospital, Bangalore, handling high risk neonates and a 30 bedded general pediatric service.
He also worked at Dr. Sita Batheja Nursing Home, Bangalore as a Pediatrician (1983 – 1992) and a consultant neonatologist handling about 3000/deliveries per annum.
Dr.Jagdish has done M.D in pediatrics from Bombay university, Mumbai (1981). He completed masters in pediatrics at first attempt under the guidance of Dr. A.G. Desai at the Grant Medical College Mumbai. He has done M.B.B.S. in medicine from Grant Medical, Mumbai (1977). HE completed undergraduate training at the Grant Medical College at first attempt and with first class.
He completed the course on medical law and ethics at the National Law School, Bangalore, certified by the Karnataka Medical Council and the Bombay Medical Council and also Certified in Pediatric bioethics from the Mercy Children’s Hospital Kansas in 2015.
He is active at the local and national branches of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics.
He is practicing pediatrics and neonatology at Bangalore for the last 30 years in tertiary hospitals and involved in teaching undergraduate medical students, postgraduate students and nurses. His special areas of interest are clinical pediatrics, respiratory medicine, neonatology, legal and ethical issues in children, ENT and IT applications in pediatrics.

Dr. Prakash Sadashiv Gambhir, Maharashtra
Dr. Prakash is a Gold Medalist at M.D. Pediatrics and recipient of many awards. He is trained in Medical Genetics in Germany. He is a past professor and head of Department of Genetics, Immunology and Biochemistry, Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. He also started interdisciplinary courses in medical genetics.
Presently Dr. Prakash is working as a Director at Birthright Genetic Clinic, Pune. He is also a Secretary at Genetics Chapter, Indian Academy of Pediatrics also a Honorary Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Genetic Clinic In Charge, B.J.Medical College, Pune.
Dr. Prakash has done more than 40 publications among which many are first case reports from India and adapted as the chapters in books. He is also a reviewer for Journals lile BMJ, Indian Pediatrics, ISHG journal, Int j of Genetics Journal of Perinatology (Nature) etc.
His research interests are Prenatal Screening, Newborn Screening, Fetal Dysmorphology and Genetics Education.
Dr. B.Shantharam Baliga
Dr. B.Shantharam Baliga is currently Professor and HOD of Pediatrics department at Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, and Manipal University.
Presently he is the Executive Committee member of Critical Care Chapter of IAP-Karnataka and also is Convener HOD cell IAP Karnataka state branch, he also heads the South Zone as Coordinator HOD cell, central IAP. He is also Coordinator IYFC of IAP Karnataka and presently member of various organization including NNF Karnataka, IAP , DK branch, Karnataka, Central IAP, Member of technical resource group, National Institute of Public Cooperation for child development, Ministry of women and child development, Government of India , Member of Infant death review committee of Dakshina Kannada . He is also Governing Board Member, Karnataka Health Systems Resource Centre, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka and Member Malaria control Action committee Dakshina kannada, President NNF Karnataka chapter 2014-2016.
He had being recognized for this contribution and service, by various institutions including, in 2006 as Man of the year for social service by Sevanjali trust Mangalore.
