Organization For Rare Disease India in association with Genomme Medical Center & Club of Coimbatore (East) had organized the First and Unique camp for Mass Screening of Rare Genetic Disease. A two day camp with multi-disciplinary clinics conducted by expert’s doctors, on 19th & 20th of September 2015.
The event was successfully organized and conducted throughout. On the first day the camp was held at club of Coimbatore & inauguration was preceded the screening camp. The Camp was inaugurated by chief guest Mr. Ram, he is an Indian film director, who work in Tamil cinema. He is the father of a special child and has done a movie named “Tanga Meengal”, a movie about the challenges faced by the father in taking care of a special child and this

movie has won 3 National Film Awards. And Dr. M Ramasamy senior pediatrician and medical advisor, Masonic medical Centre Coimbatore.
We saw an over whelming crowd of patients, the patients were attended by various doctors experts including Geneticist, Pediatrician, Pediatric Neurology, Pediatric Nephrologist, Pediatric Dermatologist, Pediatric ophthalmologist, Pediatric Surgeon, Pediatric Orthopedics, Pediatric Pulmonologist, Pediatric Cardiologist, Pediatric Rehabilitation, Dietician, Pediatric psychiatry, & ENT.
we received 70 undiagnosed cases in two days which requires follow up the outset.
