Whenever you make use of a feature that allows you to upload content to Our Website, amongst others via features such as Post Your Event, Share Your Story and Joins Hands you shall also comply with the types of conduct listed below. (Prohibited Uses), and you shall agree and acknowledge that:

  • Any content you upload to our Website will be considered non-confidential and nonproprietary.
  • Although you retain all of your ownership rights in your content, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sub-licensable license to use, reproduce, distribute, modify, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform all of that content. We may use your content for various purposes such as communication and fundraising purposes in connection to Rare Disease Day, ORDI and Racefor7.
  • When requested by a judicial authority or obliged by law, we will disclose your identity to any third party who is claiming that any content uploaded by you to Our Website constitutes a violation of their intellectual property rights or of their right to privacy.
  • Winner’s photo may be used by ORDI for Awareness through separate consent.
  • The photo once submitted cannot be returned or withdrawn

Prohibited Uses: Users shall not do any of the following:

  • Publish, post, distribute or disseminate any defamatory, infringing, obscene, indecent or unlawful material;
  • Upload or attach files that contain software of other material protected by intellectual property rights unless the User owns or controls the rights thereto or have received all necessary consents;
  • Upload or attach files that contain viruses, corrupted files, or any other similar software or programs that may damage the operation of another’s computer;
  • Upload, e-mail, transmit or otherwise make available unsolicited advertising of any goods or services, or conduct or forward surveys, contests, “spam” or chain letters; and
  • Promote any commercial product, medicinal product or health service for the purpose of, or resulting in, personal financial gain or act as a representative of a for-profit organization.

Potential Uses: We may use the information, including your personal information:

  • to provide, personalize and improve the functioning of the Website made available;

Upcoming Events

Our Executive Director Mr. Prasanna Shirol was a part of First Ever summit dedicated to advancing equitable care for rare diseases in older adults. The meeting was attended from 25 countries across Canada, Latin America, Europe, and Asia, representing patient and caregiver communities, patient advocates, healthcare professionals, and healthcare policy experts. This is a short video highlighting the impact of the initiative to date, in the words of the COLLABORATE Community.
